Account & Privacy Settings

👤 Managing Your Account

Your account settings let you control your profile information, login details, and how you appear to others on the forum. You can access these options by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner and selecting Account.

🖼️ Changing Your Avatar

Your avatar is the image that represents you on the forum. To update it:

1. Click your avatar (top right).
2. Select Account details.
3. Click your current avatar to upload a new image.
4. Save your changes.

📧 Updating Your Email Address

To change the email associated with your account:

1. Click your avatar.
2. Select Account details.
3. Enter your new email address.
4. Save your changes.

You may be asked to confirm the new email before it becomes active.

🔐 Changing Your Password

To update your password:

1. Click your avatar.
2. Select Password and security.
3. Enter your current password and choose a new one.
4. Save your changes.

🔒 Privacy Settings

You control what parts of your profile are visible to others. To adjust your privacy:

1. Click your avatar.
2. Select Privacy.
3. Choose who can view your profile, see your online status, or start conversations with you.
4. Save your changes.

Common privacy options include:

• Show or hide your online status
• Allow only members to view your profile
• Restrict who can start conversations with you
• Control who can see your activity page

📨 Contact Preferences

You can choose whether you want to receive:

• Emails from Administrators
• Emails about watched threads or forums
• On-site alerts only

These settings are found under Account > Preferences.

🧩 Profile Customization

Your profile page lets you share information about yourself if you choose to. All fields are optional — fill out as much or as little as you like.

• About you
• Location
• Website or social links
• Custom fields added by the Administrator

🛑 Staying Safe

Be mindful of what personal information you share publicly. If you ever feel uncomfortable with what others can see, you can adjust your privacy settings at any time.
