Forum Basics: A Guide

🧭 Getting Started

Welcome! This page will show you the basics of using the forum — posting, replying, formatting, uploading images, and managing your account. If you’re new to forums, don’t worry. Everything here is beginner‑friendly.

🧵 Creating a New Thread

1. Go to the forum section where your topic belongs.
2. Click Post thread (top right).
3. Enter a title.
4. Write your message in the editor.
5. Click Post thread to publish.

Tip: Drafts save automatically.

💬 Replying to a Thread

You can reply in two ways:

• Reply normally — scroll to the bottom and type in the reply box.
• Quote someone — highlight text and click Reply to quote it in your message.

Click Post reply when finished.

✏️ Editing or Deleting Your Post

• Click Edit under your post to make changes.
• Click Delete (if enabled) to remove your post.

Some forums limit deletion based on time or permissions.

😀 Using Emojis & Reactions

Emojis: Click the 🙂 emoji icon in the editor to insert emojis.

Reactions: Hover over Like to choose reactions such as ❤️ 😂 😮 😢 😡.

🖼️ Adding Images

Upload from your device

1. Click Attach files.
2. Select your image.
3. Choose Thumbnail or Full image.

Insert from a URL

1. Click the image icon in the editor.
2. Paste the image link.
3. Click Insert.

🔗 Adding Links

1. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link.
2. Click the link icon.
3. Paste the URL.
4. Click Insert.

🧩 Formatting Your Text (BB Code Basics)

• Bold: [b]text[/b]
• Italic: [i]text[/i]
• Underline: [u]text[/u]
• Quote: [quote]text[/quote]
• Code block: [code]text[/code]
• Spoiler: [spoiler]text[/spoiler]

To switch to raw BB code view, click the […] button (Toggle BB Code).

🔔 Watching Threads & Forums

Watch a thread: Click Watch at the top of a thread to receive notifications.

Watch a forum: Click Watch at the top of a forum section to follow new threads.

🔍 Searching the Forum

Use the search bar (top right) to find threads, posts, members, and tags. Click Advanced search for more options.

👤 Updating Your Profile

1. Click your avatar (top right).
2. Select Account details.
3. Update your avatar, profile info, or preferences.
